INNOVATION IN SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT (LOG3583)

ASSIGNMENT (15%)

LEVEL           : DIPLOMA IN INTEGRATED LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT (SEM 5)

1.0  INSTRUCTIONS

An innovation is a new or significantly improved product (goods or services) introduced to the market or a new or significantly improved process introduced within your company. An innovation  is based on the results of new technological developments, new combinations of existing technology or the utilization of other knowledge acquired by the company. Evidence from national innovation surveys in Malaysia suggests that about 21-42 percent of the firms surveyed are innovators.

You are required to:

1.      Prepare a project’s proposal bout innovation in targeted area.
2.      Gather all the resources (funding, materials, space and  time)  needed in order to accomplished projects within the timeframe given (10 weeks).
3.      Prepare weekly basis report on the progress of the project that you have undertake. All the reports must be send through Learning Management System (LMS) in Innovation in Supply Chain and Logisitic Management before Tuesdays 12 noon every week.
4.      While your (group) on going assesment  for this project, it is advicable for you to records in video all activity that you have been done. Marks will be given based on creativity of the videos.
5.      Every members of groups must put initiatives and teamworks  plus with superb artworks to get good remarks in your projects. Take responsibilities and pride of what you have want to be done.
6.      Lateness means “failed to impress me”, will results in : not conformance to a standards that have been set. In others word, FAILED!

7.      Submission of report must follow of the following:


2.0  REPORT WRITING

·      15 % of overall continuous assessment

2.1 The final report on the project must be presented as follows:

·                  A maximum of 20 pages

·                  Font “Tahoma” size 11 at 1.5 spacing


                2.2 The main contents of the final report should include the following:

·                  Table of contents

·                  Introduction

·                  Contents – Findings/ Analysis/ Comments

·                  Conclusion

·                  Recommendation-Reflection/Experience

·                  Bibliography/ Reference

·                  Appendices


3.0 PRESENTATION 

·        5% of overall continuous assessment

3.1   Presentation Format
 

·        Power point format presentation

·        Duration of 15 minutes including question and answer session

·        Formal dress Code

·        Every group member must take part in the presentation since assessment is made on an individual basis.



3.2  Evaluation Method


·        Panel judge’s evaluation


All reports must be submitted on Thursday (Week 10) before 4.00pm. Failure to do so, will be punish severely.
